ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
At last week's meeting members participated in the OXA's Annual General Meeting at the Rideau Tennis Club. There were 40 members in attendance, therefore Quorum was established.
The Scrutineers tallied the ballots and announced that Thom Bourne of Nutri-Lawn Ottawa, Mike Kolberg of Royal Moving & Storage and Adrian Spitzer of Valpak Ottawa would be this year's Board Directors. Congratulations!
The new OXA Board for the 2010/2011 fiscal year is:
Motions to accept the Annual Report and the Budget for 2010/11 were moved, accepted & carried.
There was discussion regarding the decline in both membership and attendance. Members expressed their enthusiasm for the OXA organization and provided good feedback and recommendations to the Board on initiatives that could be taken in order to help create increases in both areas.

REMINDER: Special Meeting
The Board will be holding a special meeting directly after the June 24th luncheon to discuss the advertising category that was recently vacated by Banfield-Seguin Ltd. The focus of this meeting will be to discuss splitting the advertising and graphic design category and how this would best be done without affecting the categories of current members. All member firms who have a vested interest in this discussion are welcome to attend this meeting.
