Craft Talk Speaker: Roundtable Discussion

At last week's luncheon members participated in roundtable discussions. Each member at the table was given 2 minutes to talk about their business. This provided each individual an opprtunity to introduce or remind others at their table what services/products they offer, who their best referral would be and also how they might be of help to other members within the association. In order to make things more interesting members were given a specific table to sit at which allowed members to reconnect with others they may have not had the chance to chat with in a while.

Emerald Links Golf and Country Club under the classification of 'Golf Club' is being recommended by the Membership Committee.

Emerald Links has been in business since 1990 and has approx 200 employees of which 12 are full-time. They are based in Ottawa and operate with a volume of $1-$5 million. Gib Patterson would be the primary member and Martin Patterson the alternate. Gib has indicated that he is committed to attending OXA regularly. They understand the obligations of becoming a member and feel they can bring value to the group. Members have a period of 5 days to communicate their concerns or any objections to the Board of Directors. Please direct any inquiries to Rob Sproule.
