Wednesday March 24, 2010
Onsite hosted by Mathew Cole of the Wine Garden
Warehouse Winery
At Wine Garden, they understand that the best wines
begin on the land and end in a glass. Their wines
begin in Chile's Maipo Valley and Argentina's
Tupungato Valley, two of the best grape-growing
areas in the world. They import top-quality frozen red
grapes and fresh juices directly from vineyards in
these famous regions. They also bring in fresh
grapes from California's Sonoma and Central Valleys.
The Wine Garden's wine experts travel to these areas
every year to inspect and select the best grapes and
juices available. The harvested fruit and juices are
transported in specially refrigerated trucks to their
state-of-the-art facility in Ottawa where they are
gently coaxed into a wide selection of quality wines
in many categories to suit a wide variety of tastes.
For customers with a taste for dessert wines, the Wine
Garden offers ice wine juices from Niagara
vineyards. They are available only in December and
January after a heavy frost of at least two days. Once
an order is placed, there are a number of storage
and aging options available. The Wine Garden
offers wine bulk storage for up to 90 days after
your order has been placed and the choice of either
French or American barrel aging. (Bulk storage up to
90 days is included with the order, but there is a
charge for extended storage in tanks as well as barrel
aging).
The Wine Garden also offers a unique opportunity of
establishing an on-site winery producing small-batch
wines of exceptional character and quality. The
winery can be a dramatic focal point of a room or an
unobtrusive, behind-the-scenes activity. Join the
many restaurants and clubs that have been working
with Wine Garden to generate substantial new
revenues by taking advantage of this unique wine-tax
sheltered opportunity. Some of the benefits include:
- Free installation of the most advanced
production
- Top quality imported juices from Chile
- Dependable assistance of international wine
makers
- A unique wine-tax sheltered opportunity
At last week's onsite Mathew Cole and his partner
Kevin opened the doors to their west end location to
host a great evening of networking and fun. The
wonderful, warm weather added to the evening as
members were able to enjoy some of the Wine
Garden's products under the late afternoon sun.
A special thank you to Dr. Roly Armitage for his
help in stomping the grapes for an OXA batch of
wine that will be ready next year at this time and
also for reminding us that it's never too late to
experience new and exciting things.
