Pan United Steel Orchestra, Monster Veggies Kick Off Ashmont/Peabody Square Farmers' Market July 8!

The Ashmont/Peabody Square Farmers' Market returns for its third season Friday, July 8, featuring a new crop of larger-than-life veggies, and the island sounds of the Pan United Steel Orchestra!
Our vendors include Spring Brook Farm of Littleton, Langwater Farm of North Easton, and Dorchester's own Cedar Grove Gardens and Dot-2-Dot Cafe! We are also recruiting more vendors and musical guests for every market day.
The market will run every Friday, 3:00 - 7:00 PM through mid-October on the Ashmont Station Plaza. We accept SNAP/Food Stamp benefits, WIC and Senior Nutrition coupons. And SNAP shoppers can get up to $20 worth of veggies at half price through the Boston Bounty Bucks program!
Many thanks to our sponsors: MBTA, Eastern Bank, Trinity Financial, WinnResidential, CWC Builders, Dorchester Environmental Health Coalition, Boston Main Streets, and The Boston Main Streets Foundation

Dot Day Parade

Thanks to all who worked/marched/danced/rode/sponsored SMAMS' "Rock Around the Clock" Dot Day Parade entry on June 5! A huge crew of volunteers, led by Bill Richard, master clockbuilder Mike Soucy and storefront designer Denise Richard, put together a float featuring an almost-life-size replica of the Peabody Square Clock, with 50's music and a streetscape of SMAMS businesses. Thanks also to pre-parade hosts Charlie and Judy Tuttle; post-parade hosts Jack Cunningham and Ann Walsh; our many sponsoring businesses; and a special thanks to K. Doherty Construction for providing the truck, float platform and driver.
