| Fruits, Breads, Nutrition Benefits at Farmers' Market
Langwater Farm
Just some of the items you can find at the Ashmont/Peabody Square Farmers' Market this Friday, 3-7 pm on the Ashmont Station Plaza:
Breads, cookies, lemon squares, apricots, peaches, nectarines, apricots, blueberries, raspberries, corn, tomatoes, green & wax beans, green peppers, flowers, edible flowers, herbs, kale, summer squash, beets, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, and radishes, all from our weekly vendors: Farmer Dave's, Spring Brook Farm, Langwater Farm, and Cedar Grove Gardens. Also wearable artwork by Jeans McQueens Creative at the Dorchester Arts Collaborative booth.
Several nutrition benefit programs help shoppers to stretch their food budget at the market: SNAP, WIC, and Senior Nutrition Coupons are accepted. And people can double their SNAP benefits, up to a $20 total value, using the Boston Bounty Bucks program, co-sponsored by the City of Boston and The Food Project.
The market runs every Friday, 3-7 PM, through October 29, at Ashmont Station Plaza (corner of Dorchester Ave and Ashmont Street). Free parking available for shoppers at ODWIN Learning Center, 1943 Dot Ave. Two hour free parking available on the Ave.
