Farmers' Market Closes for Season - Next Year's Planning Begins!

FArmers' Mkt Vendors & Volunteers 10-23-09

After much thought and consultation, we've decided to cancel this Friday's farmers' market, the last market date of the season.  Farmers have been running low on produce due to frost, and attendance at the market has been down from the summer numbers, probably due to low temps and early darkness.

We will soon be starting work on next year's market, including investigating a move to the new Ashmont Station Plaza.  We thank you for your patronage this summer and fall, and we look forward to seeing you again next summer.  In the meantime, please feel free to write or call (617-825-3846) if you have suggestions for next year's market.

Many thanks to our co-sponsors - ODWIN Learning Center, Dorchester Environmental Health Coalition, and Farmers Mkt Tomato & Carrot #1Wainwright Bank. Thanks to Lisa Ahern of Cedar Grove Gardens for our veggie costumes! And thanks especially to Tim Deihl of At Home Real Estate, our volunteer market coordinator.

Thanks also to our vendors - Farmer Dave's, Flats MentorFarmers' Mkt Logo #1 Farm, Spring Brook Farm, Cedar Grove Gardens, Dot-2-Dot Cafe, Marybeth MacLeod, Dorchester Artists Collaborative, and Dot Art.
