Harvest Time at the Farmers' Market

The calendar says wait until the 21st, but with Labor Day past and temperatures in the 60's we know that fall is here. Get in the spirit with harvest favorites from the market! A few highlights for this Friday -  Pumpkins, peaches, eggs, nectarines, melons, apples, squash, carrots, kale and collards at Spring Brook Farm
- MacIntosh apples, Bartlett pears, corn, tomatoes, green beans, peaches, raspberries, and strawberries at Farmer Dave's.
- Corn, mustard greens, Caribbean laloo and callaloo, mint, corn, baby bok choy, pea tendrils, lettuce, Swiss chard, purslaine, mint and raspberries at Flats Mentor Farm.
The market, sponsored by SMAMS, ODWIN Learning Center, Wainwright Bank and the Dorchester Environmental Health Coalition, runs every Friday through October 30, from 3 to 7 p.m., rain or shine. We are located at ODWIN Learning Center, 1943 Dorchester Ave., across from Ashmont Station and the Carruth Building.

available to all, vendors accept Food Stamps, WIC coupons, and Senior
Farmers' Market Nutrition coupons. Food Stamps up to $10 will be matched by "Boston Bounty Bucks." For
