Thanks to our volunteer team of Rachel Hronek, Bill Richard, Lisa O'Neill, Tom Carroll, Cindy McCarthy, Della Costello and Meichelle Ferguson for a fantastic job of organizing.  And many thanks to our generous sponsors:

Farmers' Market Update

Farmers' Mkt Logo #1
The Ashmont/Peabody Square Farmers' Market, sponsored by SMAMS and ODWIN Learning Center, will feature several major farms.  These include Brox Farm of Dracut, run by former Peace Corps volunteer Dave Dumaresq; Springbrook Farm of Littleton, a family farm since 1713, and Flats Mentor Farm of Lancaster, a project that helps immigrant farmers get a start in the United States.

The market will open Friday July 10, and will run every Friday through October.  The market, on the ODWIN campus, directly across from Ashmont Station and the Carruth building, will be open 3 - 7 PM to accommodate residents and commuters alike.

To make this healthy food available to all, we will accept Food Stamps, WIC coupons, and Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupons.

For more information, or to ask about volunteer opportunities, please call the SMAMS office at 617-825-3846.
