Farmers' Market Coming to Peabody Square!
farmers' market
SMAMS and ODWIN Learning Center are co-sponsoring a farmers' market Friday afternoons this summer on the ODWIN campus, 1943 Dorchester Ave., directly across from Ashmont Station and the Carruth building.

The market will add lots of "life" to the Square and will make high-quality fruits and vegetables available to everyone in the neighborhood.

The first step toward a successful market is to get input from potential customers.  If you live or work within 1.5 miles of Ashmont Station, or if you use the station for commuting, or you drive through the square while commuting, please complete our brief online survey.  Only 14 questions, and you can finish in less than 5 minutes - but you'll be making a big contribution to a successful first season!  To open the survey, please click here.

For more information, or to ask about volunteer opportunities, please call the SMAMS office at 617-825-3846.
Mt. Washington Bank Joins Boston Community Change
Boston Community Change Card Logo
Mt. Washington Bank recently became the first bank to offer the Boston Community Change Card.

The BCC Card is similar to a supermarket affinity card, with a big advantage: Unlike your supermarket card, you can use BCC to get rebates at more than 200 restaurants, shops and other businesses all over Boston!  BCC also strengthens your community - rebates are shared by you, a local Main Street program, and the charity or school of your choice.

Other SMAMS businesses accepting the BCC Card include Ashmont Grill, Ashmont Tire, Dot-2-Dot Cafe, Flat Black Coffee, Hair Stop, JXD Furniture, and Mass Affordable Housing Alliance

For more information on Mt. Washington's BCC Card rebate, please click here. For more information on the BCC program or to sign up for a free card, please click here.
