HHS, Private Foundations Collaborate and Announce $35 million Plan to Keep At-Risk Families Together

ACF announced a call for proposals for child welfare agency and supportive housing and shelter organization collaborations who work to combat family homelessness.

Modeled after the Corporation for Supportive Housing's Keeping Families Together Initiative, proposals should focus on projects that incorporate stable housing and comprehensive services that focus on safety, family functioning, and child well-being.

ACF will provide $1 million to five grantees for five years. Additionally, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Annie E. Casey Foundation, Casey Family Programs, and Edna McConnell Clark Foundation will provide at least $10 million over the next ten years for technical assistance and national evaluations of the supportive housing's plan effectiveness in the given community.
