Tough Mudder New England #1 at Mount Snow, May 5 & 6, 2012
Dear Mount Snow Valley,
It's almost Tough Mudder time! In anticipation of what is expected to be similar to a very busy ski weekend during the winter, we'd like to get some info out to you with regards to the event.
Parking
Parking at Mount Snow will cost $20 per car for one day and $30 per car for both days with the North Entrance being used as the primary route to get to the parking lots.
Overflow parking will be at Howe Farm, which will only be utilized if the parking spots at the resort completely fill up. If parking at Howe Farm is necessary, there will be a shuttle to transport people to the resort and it will be free of charge. If it is not necessary, no shuttles will run from Howe Farm.
Please be cognoscente of attendees using the parking lots at your place of business for event parking. If you would like to discourage them from doing so it would be a good idea to have signage in your lots.
The Snow Barn will be the "Drop Zone" for anyone dropping off spectators or competitors and there will be a shuttle to the base area. Flashers will be required at Snow Barn during the day and no cars can be left in the lot unattended.
Spectators and/or participants will not be allowed to bring dogs or coolers into the resort.
Spectating
Spectator tickets to get into the post- event party in the Main Base Area are $20 per person when purchased in advance at www.toughmudder.com and will be $40 when purchased on-site.
The best areas for spectating aside from the finish area are at Carinthia or take the Canyon Express up and hike down to see the obstacles farther up the mountain. Lift tickets will be $10 per person.
We strongly encourage locals and guests of lodging properties to take the MOOver to the resort rather than drive their own vehicles.
Volunteer
If you would like to volunteer during the event, you can do so at http://toughmudder.com/volunteers/
By volunteering for the event you get breakfast, lunch, a tough Mudder t-shirt and a number of other benefits.
MOOver Schedule
Our friends at the MOOver have put together a special
bus schedule for Tough Mudder weekend #1, which can be found online at http://www.moover.com/index.php?updates or see the attached document.
Entertainment
There will be live music during the post-event party in the Main Base Area starting in the afternoon along with multiple food vendors.
The Snow Barn will be open on Saturday night with a live performance from See-I (members of Thievery Corporation). Parking will be allowed at Snow Barn and doors will open at 5:00pm. Tickets are just $10 when purchased in advance online here, $15 at the door.
According to Central Reservations, all lodging in the Valley is sold out for the entire weekend so, once again, we can expect it to be like a very busy winter weekend so get ready for an influx of people! If you happen to get a cancellations, Please email your availability to Wendy at the Chamber.
