FREE MARKETING OPPORTUNITY
For Lodging Members. Get your collateral in the hands of thousands of travelers. Please read below and call the office with any questions.

The 5th annual Vermont Life Wine & Harvest Festival needs your lodging packages.  

 

On April 13, 2012 The Festival Committee & Chamber representatives will be attending The Escape Maker Food and Travel Expo in Brooklyn, NY.  

 

The event is designed to showcase travel packages for food & wine lovers in the NYC area. 

 

Packages should showcase the potential for Amtrak travel to Brattleboro, transportation to a car rental facility, or transportation directly to the lodging property.  Lodging properties do NOT need to include the cost of travel in the package, but are strongly encourage to create some sample itineraries from NYC to Brattleboro along with alternative local transportation solutions.  

 

This expo is geared toward the millions of NYC residents who do not own cars.  Show them how easy it is to stay with YOU.

 

Lodging properties are also encouraged to work with local attractions to enhance their packages.  The Vermont Life Wine and Harvest Festival 3 day package includes Friday night's wine stroll in the historic village of Wilmington.  Included in Friday's fee is the wine-tasting class and cheese pairing, wine glass, and soup contest.   3 Day package includes Saturday and Sunday tickets to the wine festival and tasting glass each day.  Cost of 3 day Wine Festival package is $23.00. Package pricing must be purchased in advance from the chamber office.

 

Lodging properties who wish to participate must let Wendy know by email or phone no later than Monday April 2, 2012.

 

Properties wishing to have this package promoted at the Expo must bring their collateral to the Chamber office no later than April 9, 2012.  Members are encouraged to create an attractive 8.5 x 11 flyer that will be placed in a binder for review at the show.  Additionally, any participating property may provide brochures if they so choose.  Properties will be featured on both thevermontfestival.com and visitvermont.com as participating properties for this event. 

 

We are told to plan on engaging with 1500 people and to have enough collateral to hand out to those 1500 visitors.

 

Attractions, retail, crafts, and restaurants are encouraged to contact lodging properties if they have ideas to include for potential packages.  This event is expected to draw  thousands of participants and is an excellent way to get your product or property in the hands of prospective visitors.  The Chamber and Vermont Life Wine and Harvest Festival are pleased to provide this marketing opportunity to our membership.

State Leads Program
