Hand stand prep also called right angle:
stand facing a wall about a legs distance
away. Lift one leg and place the foot flat to
the wall so that the lifted leg is parallel
to the floor and the standing leg is
perpendicular to the floor. Drop the lifted
leg marking your spot with your feet and turn
to face away from the wall. Place your palms
to the floor, shoulders width apart and step
ypour feet back to the wall. Keep your arms
straight (and legs ) straight and see of you
can walk one foot and then the other up the
wall until the legs are parallel to the floor
and your torso is perpendicular to the floor
forming a right angle at your hips. Keep the
shoulders broad and press the hands(whole
palm ) into the floor as you push your body
away form the floor.
Physical benefits- invigorates the
body and mind as it uses all muscle groups
including the heart.
stretches hamstrings, strengthens shoulders.
Spiritual Benefits- Very exciting,
inversions in general move one into fear
which when done safely can be a very
liberating , exciting and empowering
experience. Inversions also help to shift
perspective as one literally sees the world
from a different point of view.
"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time." ~John Lubbock |

Gabriel Halpern was an amazing success! We
feel very grateful that he was able to be
with us for a full day of learning.
We know that those of you who had the
opportunity to experience him will agree that
it was a lot of fun, and full of great
information. We know that those of you who
wanted to be with us and couldn't were
disappointed.
The great news is that Gabriel is planning on
being back here with us in the end of January
'08! So everyone who wants to experience his
teachings will be able to!
