T-Birds Return Home to Take on I-5 Rivals
T-Birds Take On Everett Silvertips Saturday, October 6, at 7:05pm
The T-Birds return home Saturday, October 6, to take on the Everett Silvertips at ShoWare Center at 7:05pm.
This is the first game of the season against our I-5 rivals to the north. The T-Birds and Tips play 10 times this season.

T-Birds Radio Broadcasts Can Be Heard on 710 ESPN Seattle and KPTK 1090 Friday and Saturday Games Will be On KPTK 1090 AM
The Seattle Thunderbirds have 20 games during the 2012-13 regular season will be broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle. Select playoff games will also be broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle. 50 of the 52 remaining regular season games will be broadcast on KPTK 1090 AM.
The games on Friday, October 5, against the Kamloops Blazers and Saturday, October 6, against the Everett Silvertips can be heard on KPTK 1090 AM.
The first broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle will be the game on Friday, November 9, at the Prince Albert Raiders at 5pm.
This is the third consecutive season the T-Birds have had games broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle. All games will be streamed live over the Internet on 710sports.com. |
Directors Mortgage 2-for-Tuesday
October 16 vs. Spokane is first 2-for-Tuesday of the 2012-13 season
The first Directors Mortgage 2-for-Tuesday of the season is Tuesday, October 16, when the T-Birds take on the Spokane Chiefs at 7:05pm.

Fans can download the Program on their mobile devices or home computer. The T-Birds encourage fans to print the program at home and bring it to the game. Fans can print the whole program or only the selected pages they want. The Digital Program will provide team and WHL statistics and information not available at ShoWare Center. The Program will be available for viewing by 2pm on home game days.
Starting with regular season games, pages in the Program will be clickable. Clickable pages will include player questionnaire pages and team partner pages. This means users will be able to navigate to the T-Birds website to find out more about a specific player or statistic as well as to a team partner website to find out how they are a partner of the team. |
T-Birds Join Fight Against Breast Cancer
In support of breast cancer awareness month the T-Birds have partnered with Valley Medical Center for GLOW- Pink the Rink. Fans in attendance on October 28 will see the Thunderbirds play against the Kamloops Blazers on Pink Ice. Last year the T-Birds defeated the Victoria Royals 5-4 on pink ice in the first ever GLOW-Pink the Rink game.

Mobile App Updated For 2012-13 Season App has Push Notifications
The Official Seattle Thunderbirds iPhone, Android and Blackberry Applications have been updated for the 2012-13 season. The Apps, which are a FREE download, now include push notifications. A new user-control panel for notifications will be added to the app that will allow the user to select which type of notifications they'd like to receive which include goal notifications, end of period summaries or goal-by-goal updates.
Fans can download the application for their respective device using the QR codes on the T-Birds website
Fans can also search "Thunderbirds" in the App Store, Android Marketplace and Blackberry App World to find the T-Birds new app.

Club Lounge Menu for Saturday vs. Everett
There are several Club Ticket specials the T-Birds will continue in the 2012-13 season. Fans that purchase a Club Ticket have the option of purchasing an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes soda and water for $14 per person.

Club Ticket holders also can take advantage of the 2-for-1 drink specials at the Club Lounge bar. Fans can get bottled beer, domestic draft beer, wine and well cocktails at 2-for-1 prices for the first 30 minutes after the doors open.

First Pub Night of the Season Approaching
The T-Birds first Pub Night of the 2012-13 season is set for Friday, November 16, when the T-Birds take on the Medicine Hat Tigers at ShoWare Center. For $200 you can get 10 tickets to the game, 10 beers to drink at the game and 10 T-Birds hats to wear at the game. Gather up some friends and come out for Pub Night at the T-Birds game. The Week Ahead The third edition of Thunderbirds: The Week Ahead for the 2012-13 season is now available. Each week, Thunderbirds: The Week Ahead will breakdown upcoming Thunderbird opponents and provide some keys to watch for. News, notes, and trivia will also be included each week. This week we look at Friday's road game against Kamloops and return of the I-5 rivalry on Saturday, October 6.

T-Birds Home Games on Xfinity On Demand
Seattle Thunderbirds home games in the 2012-13 season will be broadcast on Xfinity On Demand. The game broadcast should be available 24 to 48 hours after the game is played. On Demand is accessible to all Xfinity subscribers who have Digital Cable. On Demand is accessed by pressing the Menu Key on the Digital Cable remote control. Once in the On Demand Menu, select the Sports & Fitness category. T-Birds games can be found in the Thunderbirds Hockey sub-category, within the Sports & Fitness category. With On Demand, viewers can start a program at any time and have the ability to stop, pause, fast-forward and rewind the selected program, as well as the ability to watch the program over and over again. |
