Home Opener vs. Portland on Saturday Night at ShoWare
The first home game of the 2012-13 season is Saturday. The T-Birds take on the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday, September 22, at ShoWare Center at 7:05pm in the Home Opener. The T-Birds are in Portland Friday night for the first game of the season.
T-Birds encourage fans to make sure you are in your seats by 7pm on Saturday. We will be introducing the T-Birds full roster and there will be a special puck drop ceremony that fans will not want to miss.

Party On The Plaza At The Home Opener
Beer Garden, Music, Food
Come down early for the Party on the Plaza at the Home Opener. There will be music, a beer garden, food, inflatable structures, Vitamin Water sampling, clowns from Clowns Unlimited and Games2U will have a 4D Theater and a Video Gaming Theater. The Party on the Plaza will start at 5pm on Saturday. |
T-Birds Radio Broadcasts
To Be Heard on 710 ESPN Seattle and KPTK 1090 Opening Night Broadcast Will be On KKNW 1150 AM
The Seattle Thunderbirds are excited to announce that 20 games during the 2012-13 regular season will be broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle. Select playoff games will also be broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle. 51 of the 52 remaining regular season games will be broadcast on KPTK 1090 AM.
The first game of the season on Friday, September 21, at the Portland Winterhawks will be broadcast on 1150 KKNW AM.
The first broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle will be the game on Friday, November 9, at the Prince Albert Raiders at 5pm.
This is the third consecutive season the T-Birds have had games broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle. All games will be streamed live over the Internet on 710sports.com.

Season Ticket Holder 'Early Bird' Webcast Special WHL Live Away Pass is $49.95
Season Ticket Holders should have received information in their season ticket mailings about purchasing the WHL Live Away Pass webcast for a special price of $49.95. This means season ticket holders can watch all 36 road games this season for only $1.38 a game This special price is only available until Sunday, September 30. Season ticket holders should call the T-Birds at 253-239-PUCK (7825) to get a special promo code they will use to purchase the WHL Live Away Pass.

Bone Marrow Database Drive at Home Opener
The T-Birds are partnering with Puget Sound Blood Bank at the home opener to help add names to the Bank's database of potential bone marrow donors.
There will be a table on the ShoWare Center concourse Saturday where fans can be pre-screened to see if the might be a potential donor. Pre-screening involves providing a medical history and having a mouth swab done. |

Mobile App Updates Coming For 2012-13 Season App will have Push Notifications
The Official Seattle Thunderbirds iPhone, Android and Blackberry Applications are currently being updated for the 2012-13 season. The Apps, which are a FREE download, will now include push notifications. A new user-control panel for notifications will be added to the app that will allow the user to select which type of notifications they'd like to receive which include goal notifications, end of period summaries or goal-by-goal updates. The updates should be available shortly.
Fans can download the application for their respective device using the QR codes on the T-Birds website
Fans can also search "Thunderbirds" in the App Store, Android Marketplace and Blackberry App World to find the T-Birds new app.

The apps will connect fans to the team's social media platforms, website and promotions calendar. Club Lounge Menu For
Home Opener
There are several Club Ticket specials the T-Birds will continue in the 2012-13 season. Fans that purchase a Club Ticket have the option of purchasing an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes soda and water for $14 per person.

Club Ticket holders also can take advantage of the 2-for-1 drink specials at the Club Lounge bar. Fans can get bottled beer, domestic draft beer, wine and well cocktails at 2-for-1 prices for the first 30 minutes after the doors open.
The T-Birds are also continuing a Meal Punch Card for Club Season Ticket holders. Purchase 8 meals in the Club Lounge and get a ninth meal FREE. |
Fans can download the Program on their mobile devices or home computer. The Program will be available for viewing by 2pm on home game days.
Starting with regular season games, pages in the Program will be clickable. Clickable pages will include player questionnaire pages and team partner pages. This means users will be able to navigate to the T-Birds website to find out more about a specific player or statistic as well as to a team partner website to find out how they are a partner of the team. |

Each week, Thunderbirds: The Week Ahead will breakdown upcoming Thunderbird opponents and provide some keys to watch for. News, notes, and trivia will also be included each week.
