How Would a Blog Help Your Cause?

Do you have a blog yet? Or are you considering one?  You might consider having a blog that has multiple writers.  Stories of happenings, people, events told in a personal style can be effective in a blog.  Tips and hints aimed at your target audience may be another idea.

Your blog can be linked to your website - and you can integrate your blog with your Facebook page, your twitter account, and other social networks.  Once you have the concept that you want to write about be sure to create links to your website for more information. This gives additional links TO your website.

Register your blog with appropriate blog directories, participate on other people's blogs by commenting and asking questions and encourage your readers to also comment.

How to increase traffic on your blog

This will be one of the modules in the upcoming e-course.

Online Social Networks Tips
There are many opportunities now to use the Internet to broaden your reach, build awareness of your mission, provide information and build relationships through using online social networks. Initially you may find it confusing or not be clear about how different social networks can be useful to you.  However the examples of established organizations and businesses using these to generate income and establish their expertise is a well established fact.   If you are not already doing so - start out with these 2 social networks.

Facebook
Facebook has really developed into a business and networking tool.  Now it has a demographic where people of all ages are using it and businesses and organizations are learning how to use this venue as a way to connect with people of similar interests, provide information, network, put on events and build relationships.

Online Articles to Build A Following

Articles are an excellent addition to your marketing mix.

They provide information to people that are searching on the Internet for a solution to their problems and answer to their questions.

From your point of view - articles have a lot of positives:
  • You build your credibility with a wide base of people interested in your topic
  • Articles have a very long "life" on the Internet.  You will get people following up on links in an article years after you have written it.
  • There are multiple places that you can submit your articles at little or no cost.
  • The time invested in writing an article is time well spent.  You can also collaborate with people who specialize in writing high quality articles for you.
  • Links on the article or in your bio / resource box lead people to your website, blog or specific programs and services - these provide Inbound Links that are high quality links to your website and improve your search engine placement
