Harvest Brunch

Women of Our Lady of Peace, take a morning for something spiritual and social - the Our Lady of Peace Harvest Brunch!
This Saturday - yes this Saturday, October 6 - gather your sisters, daughters, nieces, aunts, and friends, or just come by yourself for a morning of Mass at 9:00 am and then some tasty brunch. Harvest and Brunch - those two words put together just sound extra delicious, but the morning won't be the same without you.

Also, we have childcare for just $3/child. So bring the wee ones.
Save the Date for Trivia Night

The annual tradition of getting together with friends at Our Lady of Peace to test your trivia knowledge continues on Friday, November 2.

Start gathering your squad and drinking your beet juice (strengthens the brain). Online registration opens October 15. Be ready. Seats will fill fast!
Bible Study Anyone?

Tuesday means Bible Study at OLP. Our Tuesday morning group is forming. It is not too late to join. They will study the Letter of Paul this fall.

On Tuesday evening, we will have a Bible study group in the evening. Start date is planned for Oct. 16.

Email Joy if you have questions.
Twin Cities Marathon

The Twin Cities Marathon is this Sunday which means if you are north of the Parkway, you may want to give yourself a few more minutes to get to Mass on Sunday morning. If you are cheering, cheer on this guy.

All School Mass!
All School Mass is tomorrow (Thursday, October 4). It is a great way to take a break and celebrate Mass with some of the younger members of our community. The students love to see parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles at the Mass. Check the All School Mass schedule for 2012-2013 to see if you can join us.
Pass the Popcorn. We've got Multimedia.

September was a great, community-filled month for Our Lady of Peace. In September, the students return to school, we go back to 9 and 11am Sunday Mass, we host a Block Party, and run a 5K. This year we were blessed with good weather and continue to be blessed with good people! Here is some proof:

Check out some dancing moms. onstage. in robes (or something). Live from the Block Party.

The next night on the same stage, some daughters got up for more impromptu dancing (or jumping?) with inspiration from Boogie Wonderland.

Our 5K/Kids 1 Mile was Sept. 15. We posted some photos, but check out video of some strong finishers

Not quite video - but some photos of our students tackling some new challenges:

Register your Target Card & Raise Money for OLP!

Did you know that OLP School recently received a check for $3,965.57 from Target's Take Charge of Education initiative? That's close to $4,000 raised for our school with very little work on our part!

If you have a Target Red Card (credit or debit), go to www.target.com/redcard/ to designate your card for OLP. It's that simple!

Global Solidarity

The Center for Mission has received a grant to study how it might deepen, strengthen and integrate global/mission activities in parishes. OLP is one of three parishes selected to be part of this study. If you would be interested in helping with this study, please contact Fr. Paul or Deacon Paul. Two discernment/listening sessions will be held on October 23 and 30 from 6:30-8:30 PM.
