Saturday, September 15 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm we will be weeding and sprucing. If you're free, we'd love to have you join us. Bring work gloves and 120 minutes of energy!

Proof of Work
 Our Lady of Peace participated in Nokomis Build 2012 with Habitat for Humanity and other neighborhood churches. For a week in June in Minneapolis and a week in August in St. Louis Park, the team helped build homes and build community. Faith Formation - Volunteers Needed
Volunteers in the catechetical; children; and youth ministries are needed. As youth go off to college and as our programs grow, we need more adults and youth involved in leadership in the Faith Formation Ministry. We are looking for - Catechists or Assistant Catechists for - Wednesday Night Religious Education Classes for Pre-School -Grade
- Sunday Morning Religious Education - Pre-Grade 5
- High School Sessions which begin on October 7 and will meet 2 Sundays a month at 10am.
- Confirmation: Small Group Leaders and Mentors
Members of the Youth Leadership Team: Adults and High School Youth This position runs from September to May and meets quarterly to help plan events. They assist with youth events and service. Contact Ashley Whitman--Hurd for details Liturgy of the Word for Children - Serve once a month - Adult Prayer Leaders are needed if we are to continue this beautiful ministry of leading our children through the Gospels on Sunday mornings

- Youth in Grades 7 - High School are needed as Discussion Leaders.

Need Virtus Training?
If you are going to be working with youth this year, you need to complete Virtus Training.
What is Virtus? Protecting God's Children Initiative. In this Archdiocese and in our parish every staff member or volunteer, who works with children or youth, is required to attend a VIRTUS Session; complete a background check and sign a yearly Code of Conduct Form. Upcoming VIRTUS Sessions Tues., Sept.18 | 6:30pm | Our Lady of Peace | Pates Hall Tues., Sept. 25 | 6:30pm | Annunciation Church | Parish Center Facilitated by Joy Biedrzycki Register on line at VIRTUS.org If it says the sessions are full and if you are from Our Lady of Peace, come anyway and Joy will help you register via hard copy.
