We're Running (or Walking)

Whether you are Forrest Gump or more Bubba Gump, you are invited to the OLP 5k Fun-Run/Walk on September 15.

Join us for a morning of exercise as we stomp around Lake Nokomis as a community.

An event for the family  - a 5K or a children's 1 mile.

Fr. Paul will be there with running shoes and he has challenged you (yes you!) to a race. Beat him to the finish line and you'll be entered in a chance for a Block Party goodie basket.


All Sorts of Stuff for Kids to Do.

Children faith formation and sacrament prep classes for 2012-2013 are open for registration. Get the scoop on Wednesday Night Religion which starts September 26 and learn more about sacrament prep at OLP.

Our Lady of Peace athletics are open to all parishioners in the appropriate age group.

Children can play some soccer or volleyball or just go for a run.

Golf Tournament
All the golfers at the 2012 OLP Golf Tournament lost one common golf excuse when the weather was perfect for a day at the links at the August 19 Our Lady of Peace Golf Tournament.

Aspiring golfers, check out 40 seconds of pure poetry in motion as several participants show off their textbook swings.

The community's wide ranging and impressive talents will be on display on Friday, September 21. Are you able to share your talent?

Sign-up to be part of the show at hospitality on September 9, at Back to School Night on August 29, or at the School or Parish office.

Play an instrument, great magician, wonderful singer or dancer? Show-us this fall. The deadline to sign-up is September 16 and all acts will have a run-through on September 20 6:30-8:30 pm at the Rock Tent.

Calling All Book Lovers  
One Literary Place, OLP's book store, is returning to this fall's OLP Block Party and you can help make it happen!  We are looking for gently used books to sell at our book store. Children's books, grown-up books, fiction, non-fiction-- we are looking for all genres, as well as current magazines and media. Needed are gently used, current and relevant books; we will not be using outdated or worn books. Please drop books off in the entryway of the main 12th Street church entrance.   
Share Your Musical Talent on a Different Stage.  
Our Lady of Peace music ministry is kicking off a new year and looking for new participants for choir, ensemble, children's choir, and instrumentalists.  
 
Choir begins rehearsals on Sept. 5 with children's choir beginning Sept. 20. Sing your praise and fill the church with a beautiful sound. More details on our website or by emailing Wendy.
