Thank you to all who have helped make justice and charity part of their Lenten almsgiving.

This weekend (March 10-11) we are collecting breakfast foods for the Minnehaha Food Shelf. Next weekend (March 17-18) we will accept lunch items. Items can be placed in bins near the church entrances. Envelopes are available for monetary donations.

Facts about the Minnehaha Food Shelf: Over 400 hundred families are registered at the Food Shelf and that makes up about 1100 individuals. 37% of those are children, 43% are adults, 8% are seniors, and 12% are veterans.

We are also accepting toiletries this weekend for the Our Lady of Peace Home that treats patients with terminal cancer.

Envelopes are in the pews for donations to St. Francis Academy in Molo, Kenya. Students at our school and in Wednesday night religion classes will also be working to secure funds to make clean drinking water at the academy a reality!

Fish Fry - Thanks to All Who Attended
Our first fish fry of the 2012 Lenten season was great fun. Thanks to the over 500 people who attended.

Also, many thanks to the Men's Club for their tireless efforts in hosting and serving all those people with delicious food and drink! Click the image below to watch a brief photo recap of the event.

More great food and fellowship is available on March 23 for our second and final Lenten fish fry of 2012. The event is 5:00 to 7:30 pm in the school gym and proceeds go to 2012 Mission Trip.

$10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for children, with a $35 maximum. 
Ladies of the Parish Gather
All women of the parish are invited to the Our Ladies of Peace Prayer and Potluck at 6:30 on Tuesday, March 13 in Pates Hall. The evening will begin with praying the Rosary and women are invited to bring special intentions for those facing challenges of illness or pain or who may need emotional support.
