Our Virtual Refrigerator

It is common for parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and neighbors to load up the refrigerator door with all the artwork completed by children. We want to show them how proud we are of their work by posting it front and center.

Lenten Justice and Charity Projects

This Lent parishioners will have the opportunity to participate in three justice and charity projects with Our Lady of Peace .
  • Foodshelf
Each March Minnesota FoodShare runs the largest food drive in the state and restocks food shelves across Minnesota. During March all financial contributions are doubled through a matching grant, so your almsgiving goes twice as far. Envelopes will be available in the pews beginning March 3rd. Place your financial contribution in the envelopes and deposit them in the weekend collection or you can drop them off at the parish office by March 31st.

Each Weekend during March, OLP will be collecting food for the Minnehaha food shelf. Each week we will announce from the pulpit and bulletin the items we will be collecting for the following Sunday. Monetary donations are also accepted.
  • Our Lady of Peace Home
Our Lady of Peace Home (formerly Our Lady of Good Counsel Cancer Home) is currently operated by the Franciscan Health Community and treats terminal cancer patients who are unable to afford care in other nursing facilities or to continue care at home. On the weekend of March 10-11, we will be collecting toiletries and other items for the patients of Our Lady of Peace Home.
  • St. Francis Academy, Moto Hope Mission, Molo Kenya
Last January, Fr. Francis Kabiru spoke at all Masses about St. Francis Academy at Moto Hope Mission and its need for school supplies, books and uniforms. This year's Lenten Project will be to collect funds for text books, school uniforms and transportation for St. Francis Academy in Molo Kenya. From March 7th to March 21st students from the school, Be-Attitudes, Deepening our Faith and parishioners, will have the opportunity to contribute to St. Francis Academy.

Watch for more details coming soon!
