An exhibition of recent works by longtime New Orleans arts advocate Sarah Allen Freeman opened at the Jazz & Heritage Gallery and will run through March 1st.

The Museum of the Gulf Coast invites the public to celebrate what would have been Janis Joplin's 69th birthday. The Museum will show the BBC documentary Southern Discomfort at 10am and 2pm each day beginning Thursday, January 19 through Saturday, January 21. Film attendance includes complimentary admission to the Museum's many exhibits including the Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame featuring 65 artists representing many different genres.
