Looking for good cause & a great bottle of wine

Drink wine, help people in need. This is a win-win situation. Buy some really tasty wine from ONEHOPE, and they contribute 50% of their profit to worthy charities. We've tried their wine and we like it! Some of their causes and organizations are breast cancer awareness (National Breast Cancer Foundation), AIDS research and services (AIDS/LifeCycle), Autism research and services (ACT Today!), preservation and protection of US forests (Music For Relief) and support for the families of fallen US soldiers (Snowball Express). ONEHOPE operates out of Irvine, California. It has formed partnerships with notable nonprofits that support many distinct causes. So grab a bottle of wine and help do some good in the world! www.onehopewine.com

Pumpkin Carving Gulf Coast Style - Underwater Pumpkin Carving
Underwater Pumpkin Carving, Oct. 16, 2011 - Key Largo, FL

Divers become underwater artists as they turn pumpkins into Halloween masterpieces beneath the sea in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Buddy teams can join Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Resort, located at mile marker 104.5, to compete during the 8:30 a.m. dive to create pumpkins worthy of praise and prizes from the experienced judges, who double as the crew of the Amoray Diver dive boat. Contestants submerge below the surface to a depth of less than 30 feet with only their creative imaginations and dive knives as tools. Prizes, including a dive trip for two, await the top three pumpkin sculptors. Entry fee is the regular dive boat cost of $80 per certified diver for the two-tank, two-location dive, including tanks, weights and snorkel equipment. The Amoray Dive Resort also offers specially priced multiple-dive and dive-lodging packages. Divers are encouraged to sign up for the contest early because space is limited. For information: www.amoray.com or 800-426-6729

Live Music Abounds on the Gulf Coast this Fall
Texas Music at Third Coast Music Studio - Port A'
The Pyramid is divided into geographic sections, including Africa, Central and South America and Asia. Each section displays the flora and fauna indigenous to those areas. The little music venue that could has booked some great music for the Fall. It doesn't get much more up-close and personal than the small music hall at Third Coast. You'll almost be able to reach out and touch the singers. Coming on Oct. 15 is Chuck Pyle, the Zen Cowboy who has been writing and singing for 40 years. An accomplished songwriter, Chuck's songs have been recorded by John Denver, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Suzy Bogguss. Country fans know him best for writing, "Cadillac Cowboy", recorded by the late Chris LeDoux, and "Jaded Lover", recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker. On Nov. 5, Susan Gibson will entertain you with her own brand of Texas-Americana folk. She's a CMA award-winning songwriter and the Dixie Chicks took the Gibson-penned "Wide Open Spaces" to the top for four weeks. You can see both these fine songwriters perform their own tunes in a great, personal venue. Come and give a listen! www.thirdcoastmusic.biz
