Here at Berkshire Products we buy large logs and cut them through and through to produce high quality wide natural edge slabs, that make great one piece table tops or bar tops. By cutting multiple slabs from the same log this creates many bookmatching opportunities.
Bookmatching is when two slabs are cut sequentially from a log and are opened up just as one would open a book. The grain pattern in the two boards forms a mirror image of each other. This process is aesthetically pleasing with a consistent grain pattern, which makes a great looking table.
We are always looking for photos of furniture made from our wide lumber and slabs to be included in the customer gallery section of our website. To be included, just email us pictures of items you have made from our lumber along with contact information.
