In this newsletter we would like to answer some of the commonly asked questions our customers have about having lumber slabs shipped to them. If you have any further questions please contact us and we would be glad to answer them.
How much does it cost to have a lumber slab shipped to me?
It depends on the weight of the slab, where you are located and if it is going to a residence or business. Just email us with your name, zip code and item you are interested in and we will get you a shipping quote.
How do you ship your lumber? We usually ship our lumber, especially the slabs, by common carrier. Smaller pieces are shipped by UPS.
How do you package the slabs when they are shipped? Usually, we build a custom crate for the slabs to prevent damage. Recently, we have redesigned the way we construct crates. We now use screws so that it is easier for customers to take apart and they can reuse the crating material if they wish. For smaller items we box them or wrap them in cardboard.
Why do you have to crate the lumber? Many customers like the fact that we crate our lumber because they have had slabs damaged when ordering from other companies.
How do I know when it has been shipped? You will receive a confirmation email informing you of when it has been shipped, the name of the freight company and if available the tracking number or pick-up number
