Welcome!

Dear Neighbors,

Summer is in full swing! The kids are out of school, and our Bay Hills Community Association has purchased new playground equipment to help keep the kids entertained. It has been designed for two age groups, so there is something for everyone. We are getting many thumbs up from those who have been using it.

The volley ball court has been getting constant use as has both the tennis and basketball courts.  Warm weather walkers are out in full force. Bikers are zipping up and down the hills. These same roads are the traveling paths of many on their way to the pool or a neighbor's to play. So just as a reminder, we must all be extra cautious when driving around and through our community. If we see drivers being less than cautious, driving recklessly or at excessive speeds, jot down the license tag and report it to the police. Let's watch out for each other. Similarly, with longer daylight hours and many families taking vacations it is important for all of us to watch out for unusual activities occurring at our neighbors' properties.  If you see anything suspicious, call the police.

This season also brings us toward the end of another BHCA fiscal year. We must stop and thank those who have served on behalf of us all for this past year and those leaving the Board after their three years of service. As we turn our attention toward planning for next year and preparing the 2011-2012 budget it is also time to consider how each of us might contribute to our community in the coming year or years. New positions are opening on the Board, both as officers and as general members. Event planners are needed to capitalize on the momentum built by those who have served, planned, and implemented activities.  With everyone giving a little of their time and talents and working together, we can keep our community beautiful and safe. Don't forget, we have no Board meeting in July. The Board will meet again on Tuesday, August 2, at 7:30 p.m. at Providence Center.

Sincerely,

Jeff Burkhart
BHCA President
