Greetings!
We are excited about the opportunities that the Lake Houston WCR Chapter will be offering in the year 2012! We would like to thank Carol Henderson for stepping up to be our new secretary. Don Davison did a great job and he will be missed! We have had three great speakers at our business resource meeting so far this year. Our first membership mixer at the gorgeous Village Builders model home in Eagle springs hosted by Santosh Kapuria was time well spent. Santosh provided a delicious lunch and Max Vannatter from First American Title taught a class on "How Realtors can utilize their iPads in Real Estate."
The District C meeting was a great success! We had two outstanding speakers and a spectacular lunch that was sponsored by Newland Communities. CSM Larry Holland from Helping a Hero brought in two wounded heroes CPL Robert Engelbrecht and SGT. Andrew Beasley who are recipients of homes that are built for our wounded military. They both spoke about how they were injured and how the homes where customized for their needs. For more information about Helping a Hero go to www.HelpingaHero.org .
Steve Hudson from the Texas Veterans Land Board spoke on the VA benefits, all the programs that they offer, and how we can help the veterans receive the best from their benefits. The meeting was organized by the district chapter presidents. Each chapter donated items for our troops and between all the chapters a car load of products were collected. These items will be shipped overseas to the men and women serving our country. |
