Caroling & Holiday Festival in Camden on Friday, 12/3
WHAT:
The joyous voices of carolers, the soothing aroma of hot chocolate and cookies, and the exciting energy of the holiday season will fill the air at two Camden City neighborhood parks this Friday for the Cooper/Lanning Holiday Festival. The event will include refreshments, holiday giveaways and an exciting visit from Santa! Carolers will then stroll through the neighborhood to Cooper University Hospital's Roberts Pavilion for a special one-night art gallery featuring several up-and-coming South Jersey artists.

3:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. in Lanning Square Park (Located on 4th Street between Clinton and Washington Streets in the Lanning Square Neighborhood)
4 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Cooper Commons Park (Located on Washington Street between Chambers and S. 6th Street - behind Cooper University Hospital)
4:30 -- 5 p.m -- Art Gallery, Roberts Pavilion Lobby at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ 08103
WHO:
This event is free and open to all. Caroling will be led by the Rowan University Concert Choir. Santa is expected to arrive at Lanning Square Park at 3:50 p.m. and Cooper Commons Park at 4:20 p.m.
The Art Gallery is hosted by Greater Camden Partnership (GCP) and will feature paintings and sculpture by local artists.
BACKGROUND:
This is the second holiday event to be held in the newly-renovated Cooper Commons Park, which opened in July 2009, and the first in Lanning Square Park. Cooper University Hospital, Symphony in C, Greater Camden Partnership and Rowan University planned, organized and sponsored this event in an effort to bring the community together and showcase the beautiful parks and positive changes to the Cooper Plaza and Lanning Square neighborhoods.
