Holiday Will Not Alter Garbage Collection Service 

 

Garbage CollectionThe Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday will not affect garbage collection service in the Town of Fuquay-Varina. Customers should place garbage carts curbside no later than 5 a.m. the day of pick-up. For your convenience, you may also place your cart curbside after 7:00 p.m. on the evening before your collection day.

 

Bulk items will be picked-up on Tuesday instead of Monday.

Recycle, leave yyour bin at the curb until 8 am and you could be our next lucky winner!


Starting February 1, 2012, the Town will randomly selects names from our database and visit the selected addresses to see if the customer has placed their recycle bin at the curb for pick up. Make sure your recycling bin is curbside after 7:00 pm on Tuesday before your regularly scheduled pick-up day! If the bin is at the curb, that customer will win a $50.00 gift card for use at one of our local merchants. A minimum of two gifts cards will be awarded each week from February 1-May 30, 2012.  

 

This recyle education program is generously sponsored by Waste Management Recycle America and the Town of Fuquay-Varina.

 

If you don't have a recycle bin and want to take part in this promotion, please call 552-1408 and request a recycle bin and leave your address; a recycle bin will be provided to you at no cost.

Residents are reminded that curbside pick-up of Christmas trees ends on January 13.  Trees may also be dropped at a convenience center located at Action Park located off Wake Chapel Road through January 15, 2012.
