| Recital and Dance Program a Joyful Success
On Saturday, December 10th, Community Dance Academy of Fuquay-Varina Parks and Recreation (CDA) presented its Holiday Dance Showcase. More than 500 attendees witnessed 117 dancers, between the ages of two and 18 years old, present "The Christmas Village." Learn more....

Try DanceFit Belly Dance and Flamenco this January. |
Beginning in January 2012, Fuquay-Varina Community Center will offer DanceFit Belly Dance and Flamenco classes for ages 55+. These classes will focus on exploring movement and re-connecting with the body as well as promoting creativity, self-expression, and having fun with friends!
If you haven't heard of Belly Dance, don't worry. Belly Dance moves are very natural - you'll be surprised how many you already know!! Oh, and baring the belly is not necessary in this beginner class. Learn more...

Teen Council Activities
On December 9th, the Teen Council hosted the Teen Center Kick-Off Party at the Fuquay-Varina Community Center. The purpose of the party was to introduce the Teen Council, provide information on the Teen Center, and to collect donations for Toys for Tots. Nearly 50 teens attended the party and were entertained by two rock bands, The Program and Betwixt. Over 35 toys were collected for Toys for Tots. Learn more...
