Instructor Theresa Voncannon Brings Rhythm
to Fuquay-Varina Seniors

On Tuesday afternoons, you will hear the sounds of music and stepping emanating from the multi-purpose room at the Fuquay-Varina
Community Center. It's not the sounds of kids cutting up to the latest dance music; it is actually a group of seniors doing the Cupid Shuffle. Those seniors are participants in Theresa Voncannon's Senior Line Dancing class.

As the temperature falls, many of us will be heading outside to enjoy the beautiful weather that North Carolina autumn brings. Community trails will be filled with walkers and runners looking to stay active.
There are several walking trails maintained by Fuquay-Varina Parks & Recreation, so there's plenty of opportunity to get moving.

More than 75 classes offered at a variety of times means hundreds of choices to fulfill almost everyone's interests.

Open Gym
Parks and recreation opens its gym for public use throughout the day. Open gym is scheduled when time is available. All activities, times, and dates are subject to change. Open gym is free but registration is required. Participants under the age of 18 must be with a parent or guardian to register.
