Shopping-Cart-Bar-Red
Mark your calendar! This year's finale event will be held Thursday, August 23, at the Founder's Club at Nationwide Arena. Those involved with Operation Feed will come together for an announcement of total meals raised, selection of the photo contest winner, and recognition of outstanding campaigns. We hope you'll join us to celebrate another successful community-wide hunger-fighting effort.

Invitations will be mailed to representatives from all participating organizations. This is a wonderful way to engage the leadership of your organization, so please encourage them to attend. Stay tuned for more information!

Reminder: Contribution Cutoff Date for 2012 Awards Is July 31
Shopping-Cart-Bar-Red
It's been another great year for Operation Feed. Each day, our team is impressed and humbled by the energy and creativity displayed through your activities. As the campaign begins to wind down, we are very excited to assess the success of this year's effort. Over the next few weeks, we'll be working to wrap up the 2012 drive and calculate campaign results.

To help us prepare for the August 23 campaign finale, we ask that food and financial donations be submitted by July 31. All organizations reporting by this date will be eligible for campaign awards and the Benchmark campaign designation (see below for additional information).

If you haven't already, please take a moment to share your results using this online form: www.surveymonkey.com/s/OpFeedResults. If your group plans to raise meals past July 31, please contact Joan Lloyd at jlloyd@midohiofoodbank.org or 614-317-9410 to discuss your contribution. Many thanks for your ongoing support!

Shopping-Cart-Bar-Red
Show how you "Rally to Tally" in the fight against hunger by entering your organization in the Operation Feed photo contest. Capture photos of campaign planning & meal-raising activities and post them (with a caption that includes the name of your organization and "Operation Feed") to the
Foodbank's Facebook wall. Fans (your associates included, of course!) will have the opportunity to "like" their favorites, and photos with the most "likes" will be chosen as finalists. The winner will be determined by applause-o-meter at our Campaign Finale event and will be used in Operation Feed 2013 marketing & materials. Start voting now! We already have many great entries (check them out here). For complete details, see our Photo Contest Guidelines.

RECIPE FOR SUCCESS: After-School All-Stars
Shopping-Cart-Bar-Red
After-School All-Stars is an organization that provides comprehensive after-school programs for low-income, at-risk youth. This year, they proved true to their name with an all-star Operation Feed campaign!

The All-Stars hosted a Global Youth Service Day on April 25th which allowed each of their schools to focus on a different issue affecting our community. A group of students from Champion Middle School chose hunger and, in addition to raising food and funds for Operation Feed, they also decided to share a little heart, too. Every student made a card for clients visiting the Kroger Community Food Pantry at Mid-Ohio Foodbank. Ayisha Marawi, After-School All-Star Service-Learning Coordinator, spoke of her sincere pride for the passion showed by students during the campaign.

Even prior to their Global Youth Service Day, After-School All-Stars were already engaged with the Foodbank. Earlier in the year, they requested a speaker through Mid-Ohio Foodbank's Speakers Bureau and several staff members went to their schools and provided information on the work of the Foodbank as well as nutrition education to the students.

In addition to raising over $60 and more than 400 lbs of food, these students were able to provide a heartfelt message for visitors of our pantry and have an educational experience themselves. Thank you, After-School All-Stars, for providing both meals and smiles to our clients!

We're entering into the home stretch of Operation Feed 2012, and we'd love to know how your campaign activities are going! As you wrap up your drives and events, share your results online using our Final Reporting Form. The Meals Tracking Log will help you record food & funds, and be sure that a Food Drive Contribution Form or Monetary Contribution Form accompanies each donation submitted. This helps ensure that all donations are properly credited back to your organization.

Please mail checks and money orders directly to the Operation Feed lockbox for processing rather than bringing them to the Foodbank. Cash and Coin Processing Resources can convert monies collected, free of charge. Visit the Campaign Coordinator Resources page for these and additional resources you might need to help finish your drive. You can also check out Wrapping Up - 4 Easy Steps, or contact any Operation Feed team member with any further questions. Thanks for your support!
