The National Association of Letter Carriers' "Stamp Out Hunger" drive will take place again on Saturday, May 14. Residents across the United States can place bags of non-perishable food items near their mailboxes. Letter carriers pick up food contributions and deliver them to local food banks. Last year's event raised over 95,000 meals for Operation Feed alone. Across the United States, Americans donated a record 77.1 million pounds of non-perishable food to help "Stamp Out Hunger," and last year's drive boosted the total donations collected since the drive began in 1993 to more than 1 billion pounds!
