Sue is in a nice show in Howard County at the Fairhaven Retirement Community:
Through May 1st I have 8 recent original paintings in a group show at the Fairhaven Retirement Community in Sykesville, MD.
The Opening Reception will be Saturday, May 5, from 2-4 pm, in the Atruim Gallery (upstairs in the main building near the Gift Shop). The Opening will be catered and all the artists will be in attendance. I would love to see you there!
The seven artists in the show are myself, April Rimpo, Janet Belich, Kathleen Stumpfel, Stepanie Lyon, and Yolanda Koh. We are all members of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, and most of the paintings will be watercolors. Fairhaven is located at 7200 Third Avenue, Sykesville, MD, about 16 miles north of Olney and just north of I70. Here is a map: location of Fairhaven . You will be driving through the Main Entrance (below) and parking around the inner circle, going inside and up the main staircase, where you will find 50 beautiful paintings!--Hope you can come! Sue

Dear ARThouse friends, This is the month of planning here at ARThouse--garden planning, exhibit planning, and vacation planning! It is also the month of my sister's birthday, up in Pennington, New Jersey. Happy birthday Doris! We are planning our annual student show, to be held Mother's Day Weekend, May 12 & 13. "The Art of Watercolor" will be on exhibit through August 19, although we will allow purchasers to bring their paintings home immediately. Hours for the Opening on May 12 & 13 are 11-5pm both days. ARThouse is a unique studio and gallery located in Sandy Spring, Maryland, about 10 miles north of Washington, DC. It is the original studio of watercolorist Susan Avis Murphy, and has been expanded to also showcase and sell the work of other excellent artists from the Washington metropolitan area. Also adult classes in watercolor and drawing are taught at ARThouse.
