Help for Starving Artists
Just kidding... But I just wanted to let you know, it is not too late for for us to photograph your work and make giclee prints of it for the Holidays. Small prints make wonderful "made in America--by you!" gifts for almost anyone on your list. This is how it works: - You bring us the painting (it can be under glass) and leave it here a few days.
- We take a high-quality photograph of it.
- We use Photoshop to adjust the image.
- We use an Epson medium-format printer with lightfast inks to make your prints on acid-free fine art paper.
Total cost: about $80 for 4-9 small prints (image sizes from 4x6 to 6x8"). You can size the image to fit into a pre-cut mat. The whole process can be done in one week!

This adorable girl was selling pork dumplings, or baozi, near the small hotel we stayed in when we visited Beijing several years ago. Young Chinese people like to give the peace sign, and the baozi were delicious! |

ARThouse is a unique studio and gallery located in Sandy Spring, Maryland, about 10 miles north of Washington, DC. It is the original studio of watercolorist Susan Avis Murphy, and has been expanded to also showcase and sell the work of other excellent artists from the Washington metropolitan area. Also adult classes in watercolor and drawing are taught at ARThouse.
