Why Yes!
We were at the Super Bowl!

If you're a FaceBook Friend of FASTSIGNS Louisville, the cat's already out of the bag.  But we sure have gotten a lot of questions about our involvement with the Super Bowl.  We have to tell you, it all started at the Derby!

That's right. That's because we work with a special events company that is involved with the Kentucky Derby. When they realized the Super Bowl would be held right next door in Indianapolis, they asked if we would be interested in working on their Super Bowl projects.  YES!  More than 100 signs and three trips to Lucas Oil Stadium later, the rest is history.

No, we didn't see the actual game.  And you probably didn't see any of our visual graphics.  The folks who were lucky enough to see any of these graphics paid a minimum of $3,000 to catch a glimpse of our artistry.  We worked behind the scenes in party rooms for special guests.

Thanks to the entire team at FASTSIGNS Louisville for helping make this special project a reality.  It definitely took everyone working together to Make It Happen!  Luckily, that's what we do best!

Tiger Eyes are Watching You

The beautifully renovated Alumni Auditorium at Fern Creek High School was the picture of school spirit on the inside, but the large rectangular features on the outside of the building, which replaced windows from a bygone era, were in need of a face lift. Architect Robert Humbert and Alumni Association Executive Director, Brian Miller, shared an interest in accentuating the iconic entrance with a striking visual graphic. Miller's creative vision was to display the brightly colored school mascot on the building facade; FASTSIGNS Louisville took Miller's vision and made it a reality.

The FASTSIGNS Louisville graphic design team worked with the Fern Creek High School tiger mascot to create this eye-catching, segmented visual graphic. Miller said it turned out even better than he envisioned.  His next step? Something just as impactful for the other blank "windows!"

Speed Museum Applies French Painters to Wallpaper

The Speed Museum just opened its newest exhibition, Renoir to Chagall: Paris and the Allure of Color.  The Museum charged FASTSIGNS Louisville with creating a wallpaper mural on the staircase landing between the main staircase.

Custom wallpaper has many uses, but in this case, it was used to enlarge one visual graphic and have that graphic cover the entire wall. This gives Museum guests an impactful entrance into the gallery as they begin to explore the French painters.

Happy Birthday Muhammad

Boxing legend and Louisville native, Muhammad Ali turned 70 in January of 2012. The iconic three-time Heavyweight Champion returned to Louisville to celebrate this milestone birthday with his friends and family at the Muhammad Ali Center. At a black tie fundraising event, celebrities and fans honored Ali's lifetime achievements.

FASTSIGNS Louisville worked closely with the dedicated staff at the Ali Center to unveil the new Muhammad Ali Center channel letters installed on two sides of the parking garage adjacent to the Ali Center. The 4-foot tall lighted channel letters are now strikingly visible to east and west-bound traffic on I-64, giving the Ali Center prominent presence in Louisville's beautiful downtown landscape.

FASTSIGNS Louisville also printed many banners and graphics for the party honoring the Champ. FASTSIGNS Louisville owner Sam Cilone commented, "Muhammad Ali is such an important part of Louisville's history; Ali was my father's hero, so I grew up with an appreciation for his greatness."

It just wouldn't be right if we didn't give a shout out to Deion Branch, our favorite New England Patriot and former University of Louisville football player.  We think Deion played a fantastic game and we know he's a stand-up guy.

FASTSIGNS Louisville supports Deion's football camps and gives him the FASTSIGNS Louisville Super Bowl MVP!  Go Deion!

FASTSIGNS East is open at its new location at 9004 Taylorsville Rd, in the Stonybrook Center, right next to Old Chicago Pizza.

Only the address changed, since phone and fax numbers remained the same.

With the help of the Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce, the store had a Ribbon Cutting on January 10.  Jeffersontown Mayor Bill Dieruf even proclaimed it FASTSIGNS Day!

Wallpaper
Strikes Again
The University of Louisville Men's Tennis Team has a lot to be proud of.  And they have the championship rings to prove it.  Coach Rex Ecarma decided there was no better way to show that than to create customized wallpaper.

Coach Ecarma had the rings photographed from various angles and the FASTSIGNS team created this impactful wallcovering, which surrounds the trophy case in the Bass Rudd Tennis Center lobby.

The championship rings speak to both the current team and to recruits from this simple visual graphic.
