Cardiovascular Associates recently joined Norton Healthcare, combining their respected staff of cardiologists into the Norton Cardiovascular Associates practice. FASTSIGNS Louisville was pleased to work with Norton as it renovated and branded the doctors' office on Dixie Highway, expanding clinical expertise and services to the Louisville Metro area.

Norton Healthcare knows signage is an important part of its identity, as well as an important piece of the customer service pie -- a key to informing and educating patients, helping them get where they need to go efficiently.

Norton has a design standard that FASTSIGNS Louisville co-owner Sam Cilone consults every time he plans signage for the various healthcare facilities. The signage designed for Audubon Hospital has become the standard for other facilities, with new types being designed as the need arises. The standards for the new signs are documented and added to the standards package.

So, Cilone consulted the design standards and went about incorporating Cardiovascular Associates into the Norton Healthcare family. After meeting with the project manager and user group, sign types were determined based upon need and proofs were prepared for the user group. Revisions were made if necessary, followed by sign fabrication and finally, installation!

FASTSIGNS Louisville was named Business of the Year at the 23rd Annual Louisville Education and Employment Partnership (LEEP) Breakfast. The company was honored for its work with Fern Creek High School and was nominated by Fern Creek LEEP Coordinator Barbara Grumblatt.

FASTSIGNS co-owners Sam and Susan Cilone volunteer countless hours to Fern Creek High School. Sam works tirelessly at WFHS, the student-run radio station, and the Communications Department. Both owners serve on the Alumni Association Board and both volunteer extensively for the Youth Service Center and the High School, as well as the Alumni Association. FASTSIGNS Louisville employees have also contributed many volunteer hours, helping to ensure the success of academic pep rallies and award-winning student-produced radio broadcasts.

On behalf of FASTSIGNS Louisville, Sam Cilone was presented with a plaque by Mayor Fischer and a Governor's Citation for Community Volunteerism and Service.

Louisville Triple Crown of Running

FASTSIGNS Louisville is a proud sponsor of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running (LTCOR), a series of road races with varying distances, each one raising money for the WHAS Crusade for Children.

Each year FASTSIGNS Louisville provides signs and volunteer labor for the well-established three-race series. "It is an amazing collaboration of effort between the volunteers and major sponsors of each race," said Sam Cilone, FASTSIGNS co-owner, who has been working with the LTCOR for more than 10 years.

Promoting healthy lifestyles and helping the Crusade are the motivations behind the Louisville Triple Crown of Running. Race results for the 2011 participants can be found at www.louisvilletriplecrown.com.
