Michael Brent Resource Center at Frazier Rehab Institute
Linda Berry wanted a way to memorialize her son, Michael Brent, and help other patients and families of people with spinal cord injuries and disabilities. So she did two things. First, she organized Friends for Michael, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for spinal cord injuries. Then she worked with Frazier Rehab Institute to develop the Michael Brent Resource Center to give families and community groups a place to meet and have ready access to up-to-date information about spinal cord injuries. Dr. Roger Butterbaugh from Frazier worked with Ms. Berry to help collect meaningful resources that would address the physical, psychological and emotional challenges spinal cord patients experience. Ms. Berry and Dr. Butterbaugh worked with FASTSIGNS Louisville to design a room that both communicates and welcomes. Signs direct people to the room, identify the room and communicate its purpose.
The variety of signs include: · Dimensional letters · Dimensional plaques · Acrylic engraved donor plaques Plus, FASTSIGNS Louisville designed and engineered a display system that included laser engraving, photopolymer processing, Braille, printing on several different media, as well as a cable and clip system.
The Michael Brent Resource Center is beautiful and FASTSIGNS Louisville is proud of the part it played. Read more about Michael and the Michael Brent Resource Center at Frazier Rehab Institute.
