Project of the Month
Fern Creek Traditional High School

You can find an example of almost every FASTSIGNS Louisville technology in use at Fern Creek Traditional High School. That's because Brian Miller, Executive Director of Alumni and Community Relations is a big believer in FASTSIGNS' capabilities and he has used them extensively to help promote the Fern Creek brand.

Of course it doesn't hurt that this project is near and dear to Sam and Susan Cilone's hearts, since both FASTSIGNS Louisville owners graduated from Fern Creek High School (back before the "Traditional" was added).   Both are active members of the Alumni Association and spend time volunteering for school and alumni events.

In fact, Sam was one of the primary people who helped get WFHS 92.7 The Tiger on the air in 2007, and FASTSIGNS Louisville has been a sponsor of this only student-run radio station in Jefferson County ever since.

From the entrance, the FASTSIGNS Louisville impact is evident. Vinyl graphics on the front use the school logos and mascot to tell visitors "Welcome to the Creek".

Once inside the lobby, a large, three-dimensional routed sign displays the new school logo, which includes a representation of the iconic rounded steps.  Vinyl banners in the lobby and throughout the school reinforce the mission and vision statement as well as motivate and encourage students.

Routed dimensional letters above classroom doors and inside the main gym dedicate these rooms to legendary teachers.

"There's so much going on at Fern Creek. We love working with FASTSIGNS Louisville. They keep up with our pace and make our brand look great. Everything they've done for us has exceeded our expectations," says Brian Miller.

Dimensional Signs Perfect with Router Precision

Dimensional signs and logos take your graphics to the next level.  They help your graphics "pop".

"Our dimensional logo really helps set off our lobby," says Brian Miller, Executive Director of Alumni and Community Relations for Fern Creek Traditional High School. "Because FASTSIGNS Louisville used the dimensional process we were able to use orange, black and white.  And it made the rounded steps come alive."

Computer driven table routers cut the raised letters, three-dimensional geometric designs, shapes and inlays with precision.  Routers provide the accuracy and precision and have the ability to repeat the exact same design with consistency.

FASTSIGNS Louisville uses CNC routers, the industry leader in accurately cutting from plastic, metal, wood and other solid surface materials.

Because the router is computer driven, it can cut an endless list of shapes.  These routers also reduce time and expense while increasing efficiency.

Once the graphics are cut, they can be turned into any color under the rainbow. FASTSIGNS Louisville can match Pantone colors, existing custom colors, or wall or baseboard colors.  We have a state-of-the-art paint mixing system and offer the industry's best coating.

Stand Off Hardware

Sure, there are lots of ways to mount signs to an interior wall.  But there's only one way to do it with this kind of style, securely fastening the sign and concealing the hardware at the same time.  Stand Off hardware.  Genius.

Stand Off hardware comes in a variety of sizes and colors, each allowing you the flexibility of mounting your sign flush with the wall, or creating an artistic space between your sign and the wall.  This is how Stand Off hardware is generally used, allowing for a space between the sign and the wall, allowing the sign to "stand off" from the wall.

Stand Off hardware is available for both large and small signs and will professionally mount your sign securely to any interior wall.  It's a great idea for upscale signage.

Installation is Important

Just as important as making a quality sign is installing that sign.  That's why FASTSIGNS Louisville employs its own full-time installation team.

"Installation is critical," says CEO Susan Cilone.  "Whether you're drilling into a

$1 million marble wall or a hanging a vinyl banner on a chain link fence, you need to feel secure.  You need professionals."

That's why FASTSIGNS Louisville has Charles and Steve, the company's full-time installation team.  Armed with a bucket truck and everything they need, this duo has done it all.

"It's true, having our own installers is an investment," says FASTSIGNS President Sam Cilone. "But we know we're able to provide better customer service this way. We aren't relying on a third party contractor to make decisions that affect quality and service."

Charles and Steve are good.  They're really good.  Put them to the test with your next sign!
