Welcome to the August 2011 edition of the 411 on 281 E-Newsletter! We hope that everyone has had an enjoyable and relaxing summer.

The US 281 EIS CAC met on June 22, 2011 for the sixth time since the EIS process began.
The focus of this meeting was to provide an update and discuss the development of the Build Alternatives since April 2010 including: design refinements, preliminary cost estimates, and key measures of effectiveness, such as speed, vehicles per day, impervious cover, and right-of-way needs.
