therapy in London, Ontario- Canada in 2003. She is an active member of the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists. Jess completed a four-month Internship, followed by a one-year work term, at the Kentucky Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center (KESMARC) in Lexington. Jess returned to Nova Scotia as an enthusiastic advocate for equine rehabilitation. She established Atlantic Equine Massage in 2007, and is now the Maritimes' only registered equine massage therapist, serving Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.

Jess and I worked closely together during WEG 2010 at the Kentucky Horse Park We spent many long hours together helping to orchestrate the Opening Ceremonies in Rolex Stadium and the Equine Village Demos. Not only is Jess sharp as a tack, a skilled horsewoman, but possesses wit and humor that keeps you smiling and energized.

Jess is in her second year of pre-vet study in Nova Scotia. It's a program formulated to get your sciences in two years rather than four years. She will apply to Vet school this November. Jess said, "fingers crossed next fall I will be in vet school..it's a big IF at this point, the competition is tough!"
