"If you give a man a fish, you will feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will feed himself for a lifetime." By teaching young people to fish in the rivers of their minds, The Fishing School is changing generations.
Game Day at the Nationals Park
Dear Friends,
TFS is excited to have taken part in the pre-game ceremonies for the Washington Nationals vs. Florida Marlins game on May 13th, 2011.
The students loved being on the field, watching the action, cheering for the Nats, hearing the national anthem, and shaking hands with players. One student says, "this was the best day of my childhood."
Thank you to the Nationals' Ballpark Enterprises and Guest Services for making this possible!
Check out the photos below to see just how much we enjoyed the evening.
Sincerely,
Leo Givs, Executive Director
The Fishing School
