Something to Think About

The Ultimate Secret to Getting Absolutely Everything You Want

With the start of January most people go about setting their goals or resolutions for the new year.  I'm going to get into shape, I'm going to save more money, I'm going to give up smoking, I'm going to start a business, I'm going to make more money, etc., etc., etc.  The problem is most people fall off the wagon before the New Year's Eve hangover wears off.  The more dedicated people last till the end of January.  Unfortunately very few people stick with the goal to see it fully accomplished.  So how do you make it into the successful few that make their dreams a reality?

Fortunately the answer is relatively simple.  The ultimate secret to getting absolutely everything you want in life is this:  be WILLING to do whatever it takes to achieve your goal.  That is it.  A 100% commitment to accomplishing something means you will meet (if not surpass) your target.  Willingness is an open frame of mind.  It is a commitment.  Willingness is a feeling of confidence that you can and will do something.

All you need is your goal and a commitment to your goal.  Nothing more, nothing less.  You don't need money, time, luck, help from other people, or even a plan of action.  While all those things do help, they are not musts, they are niceties.

The really good news is you most likely won't even need to do everything you think of to reach your goal.  Providence often moves to help you along the path once you have definitely set your mind on a goal.  Your mind will be open to opportunities to help you achieve your aim faster and easier once it knows that the goal is a must not a maybe.

Setting yourself in motion is easy, but so is stopping yourself.  Think only of reaching your goal.  Think only of moving forward.  Cross whatever bridge you need to when you need to do it and you will get to your destination.  The moment you think of obstacles (working longer hours, moving to a new location, going back to school, learning to cold call, take up public speaking, etc.) and decide that you aren't willing to do something that is the one thing that will stop you dead in your tracks.  You might not ever have to do the thing, but saying you aren't willing to do it will bring your progress to a grinding halt.

My challenge to you is to try out this new way of looking at your goals / dreams / resolutions.  Make a commitment to yourself, give yourself a feeling of confidence that you can achieve you aim and set yourself in that direction.  See where you can take yourself and your business.

Develop a Positive Money Consciousness

How do you feel about money?  Is it something that makes you happy?  Does it bring you joy?  Does it make you worry, stress, and fret?  Does it make you feel guilty?  How you feel about money determines the impact in has on and in your life.

Money is a tool.  It is totally and completely neutral.  Although money does have the ability to magnify what you already are.  Money does not make you greedy or selfish, but it makes it much more obvious.  Money does not make you generous or prosperous, but it makes the evidence of it much more prominent.

The problem most people have with money is that they have conflicting feels in regards to money.  Most people want more money for the positive things it can do in their lives, but have negative beliefs that sabotage them.  Thoughts of:  There's not enough money to go around; money is the root of all evil; you can't buy happiness; people with money are evil, bad, and unethical; only greedy people have money; rich people only care about money; money doesn't grow on trees; to be rich I have to be a workaholic; etc, etc, etc.

In order to start bringing more money into your world you have to welcome it.  You need to learn to let go of the false, negative beliefs you hold about money.  Identify what financial thoughts are holding you back, and start to change them into positive, moving forward beliefs.

I choose to view money as a wonderful, positive, life changing tool.  Money allows me to keep a comfortable home for my family.  Money allows me luxuries like travel, entertainment, and toys.  Money gives me the ability to financially support my favourite charities like World Vision and Kidzana.  Money allows me to have positive hope for the future.

So this year I challenge you to identify what fears you have towards money.  By finding out what has been limiting your progress, counter acting your efforts, and maybe even dragging you down you can start taking the right steps to take you to the positive places you want to go.

"There is a secret psychology to money.  Most people don't know about it.  That's why most people never become financially successful.  A lack of money is not the problem; it is merely a symptom of what's going on inside you."
