We Are Blessed
I love this time of year. The snow makes everything outside look fresh and clean. The decorations inside make everything look festive. People seem to be nicer. There seems to be a general feeling of goodwill around us.
This is when I try to make an extra special effort to count my blessings. With our hectic lives and the recent recession it can be very easy to forget how very fortunate we are. Just being fortunate enough to be in Canada is something most of us take for granted. We are free to celebrate how we choose regardless of our views. We have an abundance of food, shelter, material resources, and opportunity.
In my life I know I have so much to be grateful for. I have a wonderful family that is healthy and strong that brings me so much joy. I have a nice house, reliable cars, and everything I need. I have an incredible team of Guides that are helping me and our clients to reach our goals. I have the best clients that I can happily call my friends as well. I am surrounded by amazing people in all areas of my life and business. I have the freedom and the ability to strive for the best me I can absolutely be. And these things are fortunately just the tip of the iceberg.
What are some of the things that you can be thankful for? It is an old cliche to say "Count Your Blessings" but the old cliches are usually the best because they have passed the test of time. I challenge you to take a few moments over the coming weeks to become conscious of all the good things in your life and be thankful. You'll be amazed at just how great your life is.
"A sense of blessedness comes from a change of heart, not from more blessings."-Mason Cooley

| Finish Strong
|
|
Have you looked at a calendar recently? It's a little shocking to see that we are almost finished with 2010. How is your business finishing up this year? Are you wrapping up or ramping up?
If you're in retail you are probably going nuts right now with the Christmas rush. How are you doing if you aren't in retail? Are you getting the most out of this last month or are you coasting? I love this time of year as it gives me an opportunity and some additional motivation to complete some of my goals. My regular activites have finished for the year and now I have three weeks to tick stuff off my to do list.
This accomplishes two things. First off I get to realize some of the goals I set for this year. Review them and figure out what you can do to bring more of them to fruitition. Secondly, it sets me up to have an even better New Year. Now is the perfect opportunity to start thinking about your plans for next year. What can you do now to give yourself and your business an super strong start in January?
Most people use this time as an excuse to slack off. Put yourself into the Five Percent category and put yourself on the path to greater and greater success.
"When you finsh strong it's so much easier to blast off into the New Year." -Tammy Johnston

CLIENT PROFILE: Daryl Makk: The Planet Tour
Daryl Makk is one of the funniest and best people I have ever met. As a professional Stand Up Comic his job is to bring joy and laughter everywhere he goes.
His latest and greatest project is The Planet Tour. After being in two motorcycle accidents because bikers seem to have a dangerous cloak of invisibilty, he is traveling the globe telling jokes, and raising awareness of motorcycle safety.
His message of "share the road and wear your gear" is one that everyone needs to hear. Daryl delivers it with his characteristic humour and intelligence.
Check out the website, join the Facebook group, and be prepared to be entertained.
