The Prepared Senior eNewsletter
For Older Adults, Boomers, Seniors and their Families
From Seniors Resource Guide
Greetings!

We have been busy enhancing the look of our network of websites and decided to send out a combined January-February 2012 National Senior focused eNewsletter. We have also been researching the web looking for 2012 Senior Expos across the United States. We have found the January 28 & 29th Myrtle Beach Expo in South Carolina, February 22nd "All Things Senior" Expo & Tradeshow in Arizona, May 11th "Salute to Seniors" from the Colorado Gerontological Society in Denver, Colorado and in June the 20th Annual Boomer & Beyond Senior Expo of Colorado Springs. Wow! What great events for learning more about senior resources and services! Visit our "National Senior News & Events" web page for event details and links to senior expo websites:

We also like to share one city's local events - check out what is happening in Denver - Click Here

Note that we always keep adding events as organizations send them in, so be sure to check back in a few weeks to see what is new.
National Senior News & Events web page - Click Here.

Starting this year we are featuring a Healthy Aging Today video in every eNewsletter. For January the video is about 'SHIP' - Medicare's 'State Health Insurance Assistance Program.' We will also host select videos on www.SeniorsResourceGuide.com every month.

As a reminder we are all about
sharing and learning about senior resources and aging issues through the Internet and ultimately connecting older consumers and their families with the resources and service providers they need so they can age well. Surfing the Internet to research is great but remember to use the tried and true technique of picking up the phone and calling. And if your search involved the Seniors Resource Guide network of websites please let the provider know that. Have a nice day!

Regards,
The Staff, Sponsors & Affiliates of

Healthy Aging Today

Medicare's State Health Insurance Assistance Programs also known as ... (SHIP)
Healthy Aging Today has produced an online video about Medicare's State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP). The broadcast provides information to Medicare consumers about how the state programs operate, helping people understand Medicare and the options available within their state. Every state has a SHIP, funded through an annual grant from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that oversees the Medicare program.
