Generations Award 2011 Call for Entries
International Competition for Excellence in Senior Marketing
The Generations Award is proud to announce it is now accepting entries for the 2011 International Competition for Excellence in Senior Marketing. We are seeking the very best, creative professionals involved in the concept, design and writing of targeted advertising and communication for those in our communities in the Mature Market, age 50+. Work must have been completed between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010. Post mark deadline is November 18, 2011 and the cost is $100 per category. Entries submitted in the Pro Bono and Student categories will not be charged a fee.

Breakfast at Brookdale is held every other month at various Brookdale Senior Living locations throughout the Denver Metro area. At each breakfast presentation, you are invited to participate in stimulating, enlightening discussions with other community members. Each 2-hour presentation offers thought-provoking information with adequate time for questions, answers, and conversations. All programs are scheduled from 9:00AM - 11:00AM.     Happy Holidays! The Denver Senior Coalition Joint Holiday Event will be on December 8th at Englewood Meridian. This year we will be collecting wrapping and tissue paper, gift bags, name tags, ribbons , bows and scotch tape at the December Christmas party. In addition, for those coalition members and guests who would like to donate and cannot attend the December 8th Christmas party, we will be collecting donations at the November Northwest, East and Southwest Coalitions meetings. Bill Hohs is in charge of collecting and delivering all donations, so he is your contact person for these donations. Recipients of the wrapping paper materials are:

The first program is an interview with Mike Fierberg of Center of Medicare and Medicaid, Region 8 Denver, Colorado. Mr Fierberg highlights Medicare basics, the Medicare handbook and other details about Medicare. The second online broadcast for November is about Advance Directives. Under the law you have the right to make your own decisions on your finances, day to day life, and your healthcare. This program defines advance directives, explains why they are necessary, and how to put your personal directives in place.
