"Medicare Monday" Events Start on October 17th
Medicare's Annual Open Enrollment Event is traditionally called "Medicare Monday." These events provide seniors an opportunity to listen to presentations and get information on Medicare's Open Enrollment. The first set of workshops are generally held on the first Monday after enrollment starts which is October 15th this year. Enrollment is from October 17th through December 7th for 2011. Medicare Monday events will typically include information on changes, updates and requirements for Medicare Parts A, B, C and D. Check your local community and senior-oriented newspapers and Internet News websites for announcements on upcoming "Medicare Monday" workshops. Many of these workshops and events are held at local Senior Housing locations. Note that Medicare Monday events also happen on the subsequent Mondays after Oct 15th until the end date of Open Enrollment. If you need information on Medicare plan to attend one of these informative sessions in your community.
