How to use the American Red Cross Family
Caregiver Program

As a cornerstone program within the Clinic Resource Group family of services, the American Red Cross Family Caregiver Program gives you the opportunity to make educational presentations to religious groups and independent disease management support groups. Consider co-oping with complementary senior service providers and share the work and benefit of organizing a presentation.

Getting your name in front of a group can happen by simply offering to be the group's educational topic for a specific meeting.

Remember that refreshments and good handouts are also important. Don't forget a sign in sheet for follow-ups and ask for email addresses. If you are co-sponsoring the event with other companies also plan to do a group follow-up email from all of you rather than individual emails and then follow up with individual calls.

"Clinic Resource Group (CRG) combines Education and Certification Programs with online exposure to AHA hospitals, seniors, their families and business-to-business connections."

Maximize your Domain Name Brand Penetration

Capitalization in Domain Names & More

If your
domain name is long then use capital letters so your clients see the actual words in your domain name. This helps extend your name recognition and brand. Some examples:
     www.SeniorsResourceGuide.com is better than
     www.seniorsresourceguide.com

Note that in general the letters before the .com, .org, .net, etc. are not case sensitive while the letters after the .com, .org, .net, etc. are case sensitive.

Here is an example: www.SeniorsResourceGuide.com/Denver
Note how the "D" of "Denver" is capitalized. It is case sensitive because it is after the ".com"

Also note that email addresses can use capital letters when printed or set up in Outlook although there may be some exceptions to this rule. Here is an example of capital letters used in an email to increase name recognition and brand:
SRGinfo@SeniorsResourceGuide.com

And most important ... Are you using an email based on your domain name? If you are not, you are missing out on name recognition for your company. More and more of the general public have become aware that the "words" after the "@" sign in an email address are a domain name. So stop advertising your Internet Service Provider (such as aol, comcast, qwest, msn, gmail, etc.) and start promoting your company - such as:
Karin@SeniorsResourceGuide.com

The above is an example of the type of marketing information our advertisers have access to in our Quarterly Community Marketing Updates.
