If you are able to help with any of the following spots please respond to this email stating what day(s) and time(s) you are availableEmail parentcouncil@lachsa.net as soon as possible so we can add you to our much needed volunteer list for this week.  11th & 12th grade parents - we could especially use your help during the 16th and 17th, when we help with incoming registration.  Parents may have questions for other parents and you are a wealth of information!

New Student Academy

Two volunteers are needed each day, August 16, 17, and 18 to assist Ms. Livermore with the activities of the day.  Please meet Ms. Livermore at 7:30am in front of the main office.  The day runs though 12:00 for parent volunteers.

Another way you can volunteer now is by donating materials for our identity project. We are in need of donations in the way of crafty resources: shiny paper, fabric, cellophane paper, beads, ribbon, lace, sequins, glue guns, construction paper, magazines etc.

You can donate materials, marked Summer Academy, in the main office any time between 8-3 over the summer.

Need school supplies or books?  Use Yellowbrick Mall and help raise money for LACHSA!
Yellowbrick Mall Don't forget our affiliate programs as a source of passive fundraising.  You can order school supplies from Office Depot or books from Amazon and the online merchants will donate a percentage of their proceeds to LACHSA.  Just visit http://yellowbrickmall.com/lachsa.php and select any of their listed merchants.  No registration is required and no credit card information is ever given to Yellowbrick Mall.

Still Need Carpool Information?

Still need to get your child's Tdap vaccine?  Earn a $5 Donation to LACHSA from Ralphs!

SPECIAL OFFER FOR SCHOOLS ONLY!

As a valued member of the Ralphs Community Contributions Program, your school can earn extra funds!

In conjunction with the new California State law that mandates the Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Vaccine, also known as Tdap, for all students entering 7th through 12th grade* in the 2011-2012 school year, Ralphs Pharmacies are offering schools an opportunity to earn a $5 donation for each student that receives the Tdap shot at one of our 90 pharmacies throughout Southern California. Please visit our website at www.ralphs.com to locate the pharmacy near you. The vaccine is covered by many insurance companies so stop by and talk to your Ralphs Pharmacist today.

Participation in this offer is easy. Parents simply take their student(s) to their local Ralphs Pharmacy and say they are there for the Tdap shot. They will need to provide the name of the school in order for the school to earn the $5 donation.
