Underclass Awards Ceremony Wednesday, June 15th 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Golden Eagle Ballroom $5 suggested donation per adult Senior Awards Night Wednesday, June 15th 6:00 p.m. Golden Eagle Ballroom $10 suggested donation per adult The Underclass Awards Ceremony will take place after lunch on the final day of academic exams. All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders will attend this very special event. This will be our opportunity to recognize individual outstanding academic achievement in all academic classes in all grades. We will also publicly and formally acknowledge those students who have achieved Dean's List designations, received Academic Integrity Awards throughout the year, and who have served as LACHSA Scholars. This event will also mark in an official way the rise of our incoming senior class, the Class of 2012. All of our current juniors will receive a personalized note from a current senior, the Class of 2011, welcoming them to the rank of senior. This formal ceremony allows our community to promote the values we model for and expect from our seniors. Central to this will be a prepared speech by LACHSA's Salutatorian for the Class of 2011, Brianne (Tory) Freeth. A reception will be held following the ceremony. All parents of underclass students are invited to this event although we recognize that this may be difficult for some. Parents of individual students who will be recognized will be notified in advance. Please note: Seating is limited to parents and guardians only--we will not be able to accommodate siblings or other family members. Our Senior Awards Night continues our tradition of recognizing the outstanding academic achievement of our senior class including CSF participation and Honor Grad achievement and our Class of 2011 Valedictorian, Ivan Pyzow. In addition, numerous scholarships secured through our partner Arts High Foundation will be announced. While all seniors must attend it is hoped that parents will attend as well. Refreshments will be served. |
